BBC COVERING ALL THINGS CUBA – THIS CAN’T REALLY BE A BAD THING?
BBC Cuba News – Auntie Beeb with the information you need
Writing blogs is a great pastime. The problem is finding relevant information and, more importantly, interesting information is the hardest part.
There are many sources to choose from but, in this world of politics, the content is often slanted for or against the topic in question. The best you can hope for is that people on the ground will help you out with a few facts.
BBC News has always been seen as a reliable source of information. But recently, in the UK, it has been accused of biased stories and cover-ups, as well as being very ‘Woke’. So, as always, anything you read or see has to be taken with a pinch of salt, unless you are there in person.
BBC Videos and Reports
By searching the Internet, I have come across many videos and articles about Cuba. Most of them I won’t comment on as I don’t want this to be a political blog. Unfortunately, with Cuba, you really cannot get away with that. Try as I may, I’m looking for that “ah! what a cute puppy” story but there doesn’t seem to be many about it.
On the other hand, if something big is happening in Cuba, you can’t just simply ignore it; can you? I can’t just waffle on about properties in Cuba, can I?
So, I’ve decided to play Devil’s Advocate:
When someone “plays devil’s advocate,” they’re arguing an opinion or taking a side they don’t agree with in order to foster debate.
So, I have a link for you to the BBC Cuba website. Here you will find a lot of material that you may, or, may not like. Some stories are directly related to events in Cuba, others are simply Cuba-related.
I hope you enjoy this BBC Cuba news site. If you don’t, please, point me to another source and I will be happy to feature that in a blog post.
